I used the scene I created last week as the environment for my character this week. The character can be seen walking around in the level and interacting with barrels in the GIF below.
I choose to make the station wagon disappear on the trigger event (rather than a new object), which can be seen below. Also in the GIF below is the character using the shoot animation. This is triggered by pressing space, and while the character can walk during this animation, if I had time to go further I would have made it so the character would have to stand still to fire.
